Hey everyone, just a quick note that I think many of you will appreciate – Rank Higher, Make Money! is now a CommentLuv and DoFollow blog. For those who are not familiar with this, it means if you leave a comment here, I will automatically provide a link back to your website’s latest post. *And* on top of that, the link back will have the “rel=’nofollow’” attribute removed from the link! Both these things combined can be extremely effective methods of promoting your own site and improving page rankings with search engines.
The specific plugins I’m using are:
CommentLuv – this plugin adds a specific link back to your own blog posting, depending on the website URL you enter in the comment form.
and
NoFollow Free – this plugin removes the nofollow attribute from your link.
So come on and get your CommentLuv with DoFollow linkage back! ![]()

1No PR and only 6 indexed pages… Not too much weight. I’ll leave ya a comment anyway. Only way to grow your site is to stick with it.
And for another tip, don’t just stick to plain blogging for content. Make regular content. To do that, you find related keywords and make specific pages for every keyword you can find.
also, you should change your url structure to /%category%/%postname%/

2Thanks for the tips. This site is sure to grow and provide living proof of how to rank higher and make some money along the way. Until then – I definitely appreciate your time dropping a comment. So you think leaving out the /archives/%year%/%monthnum%/%day% is best? (I already have /%category%/%postname%/ as part of the url structure)
Good tip on the related keywords… I’m already researching with Google keyword research tools.

4You are off to an excellent start, with your blog. I like the theme choice, and the flat out offer for a backlink should generate some traffic for you, in itself. Even if you currently are unranked, that will change in time, and traffic is what really matters anyway. Best of Luck. Bookmarking you.

5@WhyEyesChoice – glad you are enjoying the site. Search engine presence really is important these days – the higher the ranking the better! I hope to be able to continue providing useful tips and advice for getting those higher site rankings.
@Robin thanks for visiting and the positive feedback! I’ve been editing the theme on my own little by little… I may decide eventually to lighten up a little on the background gradient. It’s helpful to have CSS knowledge for tweaking and editing here and there. I’m checking your site now. Looks good! Hope to see you around more often.

6Even though the page isn’t cached or ranked now, it will be in the future. Individual posts, over time, gain PR ranking based on their backlinks and popularity. So posting a comment now will lead to having a quality backlink in the future.

7And just to illustrate my point, some of my newer posts gained PR in the update this week, so people who commented when it was a new, non-cached article now have a backlink on a PR ranked page. The wonders of DoFollow and CommentLuv!

8I think too many people put too much emphasis on current pagerank of pages. What is a pagerank 0 page now, may be much higher in the future. Don’t ignore pages just because they don’t have page rank now.

12That’s a nice bonus for leaving comments.
But if I have something to say, nothing’s going to stop me from saying it– not even a blog without the CommentLuv plugin.
